ICT BARRIERS IN SA EDUCATION
There are many ICT barriers in South african education, especially in rural areas.Students lack ICT information and background.
Most of schools which are situated in rural areas does not have access to computers either electricity. Some schools have them but not enough to cover all students. sometimes learners are not allowed to use the computers whereas they are meant for them.
OTHER ICT BARRIERS
*Limited resources
*Poverty, crime and drug abuse
*Lack of knowledge and skills
*Lack of qualified ICT teachers
*Crowded classrooms
my school where i am from there were computers and they were donated by vodacom millionaires, the school principal once told us that if anyone of us is willing to learn them, he or she must pay a certain amount, because of my background my parent failed to pay that fee. i never got that opportunity to learn computer at my secondary levels neither primary levels .As foundation phase teachers we must have the knowledge ,skills and support our learners needs, in order to be used to technology. We must teach them what they suppose to know for their bright future ahead .

MY FINAL SCHOOL YEAR AT NJEYEZA SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL
My final school year at njeyeza senior secondary school in Mpumalanga Province
I am addressed as Dlamini Nosipho Dineo. I completed my matric at Njeyeza senior secondary school in the of 2013.
This school is situated at a village called Schoemansdal section B in the Nkomazi Municipality under Shongwe mission. My school is located a distance away from Malelane town almost close to Matsamo Plaza. My town is a rural area where capital is needed to industrialize and the area has limited resources meaning it is a under developing area. A large number of people depend on industrial for example agriculture, farming, fishing and livestock . They took education as a no purpose only a waste of time and money.
I achieved seven (7) subjects as follows:
English first additional language
Siswati Home language
Mathematical literacy
Geography
Life sciences
Life orientation
Agricultural sciences
Out of all the seven subjects i passed, i got enjoyment from one subject which is life sciences for the reason that my science teacher( Mr Mabuza) used to teach us using the overhead projector especially when he was teaching the Human evolution lesson. The school have computer centers but you learn them by paying a certain amount of money so that you can participate, whereas those computers belongs to us as learners. The using of projector was like something new to my life because of there were no laptops neither internet cafe. In that point science lessons helped me to be a better person and i passed with flying colours today i am a student TEC siyabuswa campus, i appreciate the effort and contributions of my former teachers especially my science teacher.
