FANTASTIC MR FOX

FANTASTIC MR FOX MOVIE REVIEW

Deep in the woods near the three farms,  the  chicken farm  ,  the Duck farm and    the Turkey/apple farm, under the tree where Mr fox ,Mrs fox  and their four children live.Mr fox is in the habit of stealing food for himself and his family from the farmers Boggis , Bunce and Bean. But all the three of them were about as nasty and mean as any men you could meet, Resenting Mr Fox’s thefts , they join forces to kill  him. First they lie in wait outside his den and manage to wound him  his tail then they  begin digging to catch him and his family , first with shovels and then with machines. Finally they decided to starve him out but that when Mr Fox gets a brilliant idea of of digging further the tunnel acquiring food from the farmers.

The book only weighed eighty pages and so which is pretty light source material when you are to create a ninety minutes features film. The movie starts at a moment in the time before Mr  Fox and Mrs  Fox  stealing. In the book we are introduced to Mr, Mr, the four kids and the three farmers meanwhile in the movie they also add the cousins and the neighbours. In the book Mrs Fox act as if she does not like the stealing parts of Mr Fox whereas in the movie she knows everything about where the food comes from.Mrs Fox is pregnant in the movie we never get that in the book. She is Mrs fox throughout the the film , not only given a name Felicity something that is absent from the book. In the book Mr Fox only serves his family by relying on digging tunnel directly to the store of the farmers whereas  in the film animals are balanced between something that need to controlled in order  to maintain their safety.

My favourite part is when the children of the woods create a song describing the three farmers. Boggis, Bunce and Bean one fat, one short and one lean. These horrible crooks so different in looks were nonetheless equally mean.the time when Mr fox brings backs lots of stolen foods and shares with the whole animal kingdom. The part that was least effective is when the three farmers dig up the fox den by shovels and machines. I would recommend this book to any animal lovers and give it a big star because there could have been a more  action. I would like to read more about this story maybe Mr Fox is getting into a fight and scary the farmers away.
